Your life is busy! We are masters at juggling many different areas of responsibility in life. Wouldn’t it be great to have some guidance an tools to get you to your best self? We believe that you need to take care of yourself so that you are focused on what you can achieve, and how! We have the perfect solution! Create a self-care check list so that you can monitor every part of your life. It gives you the accountability that you need to stay focused, and tunes out the voice that screams “How am I going to get it all done?”
Self-Care Check List Creation:
Take an inventory of your life. Break it out into 4 quadrants and make a check list of what you need to do. Here are some guidelines and ideas:
1. Your Family – Appointments for your family ie: Kids, parents, leisure time planning ie: Family game night, eating dinner together, planning vacation, etc
2. Your Finances – Follow-up on paying bills ie: online banking and automatic bill pay is a great option to save time and focus), grocery shopping, budget for yourself and your household, savings budget, charitable donations, etc.
3. Your Health – Your exercise plan, your food plan and ideas, support that you need in order to stick to your exercise plan ie: find a “buddy” to hold you accountable to your commitments to self-care, etc.
4. Your Relationship (with yourself and others) – If you are attached, taking the time for date nights, if you are single, taking the time to get out and mingle! Invest in hobbies that fuel your creativity and your self-expression. They will give you the peace of mind that you need and focus to be at your best to accomplish what you set out to do!
Self-Care starts with YOU. By taking care of yourself, and creating a check list to remind you of what’s important, you are setting yourself up for success and able to give back to the people in your life.
